Turnkey home extension
More space without moving. Nuvem manages your extension from A to Z — plans, permits, foundation, structure, envelope, electrical and finishing — in harmony with the existing home.
A good extension is about the connection
A successful extension is invisible: the roof continues naturally, the floor sits level, the siding blends in and no heat escapes at the junction. That's where experience matters. Nuvem starts by analyzing the existing structure, foundation and lot, then proposes the most coherent solution: side or rear addition, second storey, four-season sunroom, bedroom above the garage or attached garage.
The right foundation
Depending on the project and the ground, the extension sits on a concrete foundation that continues the basement, a slab, or helical piles — faster and cheaper for a room on a crawl space or a sunroom.
Plans, permits and regulations
Setbacks, lot coverage, height, flood zones or shoreline strips: every municipality in Portneuf, Côte-de-Beaupré or Jacques-Cartier has its own rules. We prepare the drawings, file the permit application and answer the municipal inspector's questions for you.
Integrated electrical
Because Nuvem is also an electrical contractor, the new circuit, lighting, heating and panel-capacity check are planned from day one — one point of contact, nothing to coordinate on your side.

FAQ
What clients ask us
How long does an extension take?
6 to 12 weeks on site for a standard addition, once the permit is issued. A second storey takes longer and often requires temporary relocation.
Can I stay in the house during the work?
Yes for an addition; the junction with the existing home is only opened at the end. For a second storey, it depends on the structure.
Do I need a permit?
Yes, in every municipality. We prepare and file the application; lead times range from two to six weeks depending on the town.
Extend or build a detached garage?
For heated living space, the extension wins. For storage or a workshop, a detached garage is often simpler and cheaper.
