New home and cottage construction
Family home, four-season cottage or rental property: Nuvem builds turnkey or supports your self-build, with one contractor for both structure and electrical.
From the lot to the keys
Building on the north shore of Quebec City means dealing with varied terrain — bedrock, slopes, forest, lakefront — and a climate that doesn't forgive sloppy details. Nuvem has built cottages in the Portneuf Laurentians as well as homes in the new developments of Sainte-Brigitte-de-Laval and Boischatel. Our strength: a solid structure, a tight, well-insulated envelope and careful finishing, delivered on time.
Turnkey
We take on the whole project: plans with your designer or ours, permits, excavation and foundation, framing, roofing, doors and windows, siding, insulation, electrical, plumbing, heating, interior and exterior finishing. One schedule, one point of contact, one warranty.
Supported self-build
Want to do part of the work yourself to save? We deliver the critical stages — foundation, structure, envelope, electrical — and advise you on sequencing and inspections, while meeting RBQ and municipal requirements. Our self-build clients value having us for the stages that leave no room for error.
Cottages and rental properties
Winter access, generator, EV charger, snow-load roof design, durable finishes: we design cottages for real use — year-round, rented out or closed part of the winter.

FAQ
What clients ask us
How long does a new home take?
Generally 5 to 8 months on site for a standard home, depending on season, lot and finish level. A simple cottage can be faster.
Do you build in winter?
Yes. The foundation is ideally poured before frost; structure and envelope continue through winter, and interior work is unaffected.
What is a supported self-build?
You handle some stages yourself (finishing, painting, landscaping) while Nuvem delivers the structural and regulated stages, with advice and inspections at the right times.
Can you build on a sloped or rocky lot?
Yes — common in Lac-Beauport, Stoneham and Charlevoix. We adapt the foundation (piles, stepped walls, blasting if needed) and the access.
